Jacinta Walsh Ballet Arts Academy vocational dance education offers a unique European ballet training programme for passionate dancers who aspire to pursue professional dance careers with international ballet and dance companies, including the Australian companies.
Jacinta Walsh Ballet Arts Academy's expert teachers have European experience in professional dance education and pass on the mastery of their pedagogical expertise. We enhance the students' education by providing personalised ballet training and complementary dance techniques. To enrich the growth of pre-professional dancers, one-off International Dance Expert workshops are also offered. In every facet of Jacinta's international experience and pedagogy, she pursues the advancement of the individual dancer, while tailoring her teaching to achieve excellence.
Upon completing the programme, the graduates will achieve technical precision and performance excellence. We nurture our future artists for successful international careers. The Ballet Arts Academy’s alumni will be empowered to shape the future of dance, (wherever that may be). This will resonate with and reflect the world and future cultural realities they will encounter.
BALLET STUDIOS The ballet studios are light and modern within an art-deco building in the heart of Thornbury in Victoria. Studio 1 and 2 are fully equipped with heating/cooling, sprung floors with tarkett, full length mirrors, piano and sound-system. |

INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOLS
Jacinta Walsh Ballet Arts Academy encourages their students to participate in international summer intensives with world leading ballet and contemporary dance schools, universities and companies.
International summer intensives offer dance students and dance professionals from all over the world the opportunity to learn with master teachers, choreographers and artistic directors committed to the training process and artistic growth of ballet and contemporary dancers. Jacinta Walsh Ballet Arts Academy’s training curriculum underpins arts-enriched learning experiences that enhance the development of well-rounded dancers through exposure to a wide variety of disciplines. This includes traveling to safe places where dancers can exchange knowledge and learn from each other. It also provides the students with the opportunity to visit some of the world's best cities for arts and culture. Jacinta’s students achieved entries into several summer intensives including The Juilliard School (USA), Alonzo King LINES Ballet (USA), Nederlands Dans Theater (NL), The Royal Ballet School (UK), Royal Danish Ballet (DK), North Carolina University for the Arts (USA) and Ohad Naharin’s Gaga program (IS) |
INTERNATIONAL BALLET COMPETITIONS
Jacinta Walsh considers the Prix de Lausanne, to be an opportunity for her advanced students to participate in, an international competition for young dancers ages 15-18 years old.
Created in 1973, the Prix de Lausanne’s goal is to “discover, promote and support the finest talents around the world.” Jacinta Walsh supports the Prix de Lausanne’s professional attributes: scholastic education, personal growth, quality performance and international networking for her students. Thus offering an opportunity within the academy’s Advanced European Training programme. First and foremost, Jacinta Walsh Ballet Arts Academy delivers excellence in ballet training, dance education and performance, while prioritizing every students' health, development and wellbeing. These cores values guide the way our teachers train, educate and empower our students to achieve international professional ballet careers.
